ODE TO A DESERVING MASTER

Perpetually in his hand is the royal scepter

But he wields it as if it contains some nectar

For the sweetness embedded in his rule,

Far outweighs the one enjoyed in the Yule.

The master who loses sleep for his subjects’ welfare,

Deserves a great honour even down to his footwear

Boss who excessively desires growth for his lawn mowers,

Will always be counted among the shakers and the movers.

Humility beyond the biblical meekness personified

Both nature and nurture combined in him dignified

He who wines and dines with the high and mighty,

Yet still identifies with the lowly and the untidy.

Magnanimity and philanthropy in the first order

Hand always extended beyond a limitless border

He is indeed a deserving master with a difference

And he deserves our praise and continued allegiance.
